Vineyard Road maintenance
As part of our commitment to maintain roads and structures on Melbourne’s arterial network, we’re delivering important road maintenance on Vineyard Road between Miller Street and Mitchells Lane in Sunbury.

This will involve removing and replacing damaged layers of the road surface, asphalt resurfacing and line marking sections of Vineyard Road to help to restore the road back to its original standard.
Crews will work on sections of Vineyard Road for six nights at 8pm to 5am on Monday 18 March to Wednesday 27 March 2024 excluding Friday and Saturday nights, weather permitting.
What to expect during works
- Vineyard Road will be closed between Miller Street and Mitchells Lane in both directions, with detours in place
- All traffic will detour via Gap Road and Calder Freeway
- A local traffic detour will also be in place via Gap Road, Elizabeth Drive and Mitchells Lane
- No on-street parking in the work area during works
- Periods of high noise levels, vibrations, and dust – we’ll work to minimise these impacts as much as possible
- Reduced speeds in the work area to keep crews and road users safe
- Traffic controllers will be on site to help road users travel around the work area safely
- Travel delays up to 15 minutes.
