Healesville-Yarra Glen Road maintenance works

What we’re doing 

We’re undertaking maintenance works on Healesville-Yarra Glen Road between the Yarra Glen bypass in Yarra Glen and Old Healesville Road in Tarrawarra.

These works will involve major road patching works to repair damaged areas and improve the condition of the road surface. Healesville-Yarra Glen Road will be fully closed for the duration of the works.

When to expect us

Crews will be working overnight from 8pm Sunday 10 December to 5am Monday 11 December, weather permitting. 

Road maintenance requires dry, temperate weather conditions when removing and relaying the road surface. Please note that the dates and times are subject to change due to weather conditions. 

What to expect

Healesville-Yarra Glen Road will be closed between the Yarra Glen bypass in Yarra Glen and Old Healesville Road in Tarrawarra for the duration of the works. 

All vehicles will be required to follow the below detour routes: 

• Vehicles travelling eastbound from Yarra Glen will need to travel south via the Melba Highway and then north-east via the Maroondah Highway. 
• All vehicles travelling westbound from Healesville will need to travel south-west via the Maroondah Highway and then north via the Melba Highway.

Please plan ahead and allow up to an extra 30 minutes of travel time as you move through the area via the signed detours.
