We’re completing important road maintenance work on Frankston-Flinders Road between Bungower Road and O’Neills Road in Somerville.

01/06/2023

What we’re doing

To keep Frankston-Flinders Road safe and reliable for the hundreds of road users who use it every day, we will be undertaking pavement rehabilitation and guard rail fencing works on a section of the road between Bungower Road and O’Neills Road

What to expect

Our crews will be on-site during the day and at night, as they work to complete both types of work.

Please note these works are weather dependent and may be subject to change due to bad weather conditions.

Nightworks – Sunday 4 June to Tuesday 13 June

Pavement rehabilitation work will take place at night between 8pm and 5am, excluding Friday and Saturday nights.

During nightworks, Frankston-Flinders Road will be closed between Bungower Road and O’Neills Road

A signed detour will be in place via Mornington-Tyabb Road, Jones Road and Bungower Road, or via Western Port Highway and Bungower Road.

We will maintain access to properties at all times, with traffic management crews on site to help you move through the area.

Heavy vehicles and buses will be escorted through the road closure on Frankston-Flinders Road by traffic controllers. Please address a traffic controller if you need to pass through the road closure.

Day works – Tuesday 13 June to Thursday 15 June

Guard rail fencing works will take place during the day between 9:30am and 3:30pm.

During works, crews will be working under a single lane closure with a shuttle flow (stop/go) traffic arrangement in place to allow motorists to move safely through the area.
