Craigieburn Road maintenance

As part of our commitment to maintain roads and structures on Melbourne’s arterial network, we’re delivering important road maintenance on Craigieburn Road between Merri Creek and Hume Freeway in Craigieburn.

General
Published date:

25/01/2024

Maintenance will involve asphalt resurfacing and line marking sections of Craigieburn Road to restore the condition of the road surface.

Crews will work on Thursday 1 February to Friday 2 February 2024 between 8pm to 5am, weather permitting.

Expect travel delays up to 20 minutes when detours are in place.

Please obey instructions by crews on site and allow extra travel time if Craigieburn Road is part of your journey.

What to expect

  • Eastbound lanes and westbound lanes between Merri Creek and Hume Freeway will be closed with signed detours in place
  • Travel delays up to 20 minutes
  • No on-street parking in the work area during works
  • Periods of high noise levels, vibrations, and dust – we’ll work to minimise these impacts as much as possible
  • Reduced speeds in the work area to keep crews and road users safe
  • Safety lights within the work area
  • Traffic controllers will be on site to help road users travel around the work area safely.

Thank you for your patience while we carry out important road maintenance on Craigieburn Road.
