View road access maps and information for oversize and overmass agricultural vehicles and implements. 

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) provides maps showing roads that can be used by:

Class 1 oversize agricultural vehicles are defined a vehicle exceeding 4.5t mass, and class O vehicles are defined as a vehicle up to 4.5t. 

How to use the maps

Road colour definitions:

  • Green roads are available to approved vehicles
  • Yellow roads are conditionally available to approved vehicles, with conditions visible by clicking the road
  • Red roads are restricted, with reasons visible by clicking the road.

Access to roads shown as red require a permit from the road manager, except where signed detours are in place.

Use map layers to view:

  • road closures
  • traffic alerts
  • roadworks
  • detours or events
  • height limits (read more about height clearance on roads).

Check your route for disruptions before travelling. 

Detours aren't always shown

Detours are only added if:

  • not already mapped as approved or conditionally approved
  • required for 12 weeks or more.
