Class 2 combination heavy vehicles include:
- B-double combination
- Higher Mass Limits (HML) accredited vehicles
- Road Train combinations
- Grain Harvest Management Scheme (GHMS) B-double combinations
- Grain Harvest Management Scheme (GHMS) Rigid Truck and Semi-Trailers
How to use the maps
Road colour definitions:
- Green roads are available to approved vehicles
- Yellow roads are conditionally available to approved vehicles, with conditions visible by clicking the road
- Red roads are restricted, with reasons visible by clicking the road.
Access to roads shown as red require a permit from the road manager, except where signed detours are in place.
Use map layers to view:
- road closures
- traffic alerts
- roadworks
- detours or events
- height limits (read more about height clearance on roads).
Check your route for disruptions before travelling.
Detours aren't always shown
Detours are only added if:
- not already mapped as approved or conditionally approved
- required for 12 weeks or more.

Higher mass limits
View the access map for Class 2 and Class 3 Higher Mass Limits (HML) heavy vehicles.
This network doesn’t allow access for:
- road trains
- 3-axle and 4-axle truck and dog trailer combinations
- Other PBS compliant combinations
- B-doubles exceeding 19 metres, on routes that don’t appear on the B-double network map.

Road trains
View the access maps for Type 1 road trains using:
- Victoria’s Class 2 gazetted road train network
- Victoria’s Class 2 pre-approved permit road train hay and grain network.
You may require a permit from the NHVR to use parts of this network. See the map for details.
