Victorian Government Graduate program
This is a 12-month, whole of Victorian Government development program administered by the Victorian Public Service Commission. Graduates will undertake three rotating placements of four months each and will be eligible for an ongoing position or promotion upon successful completion.
To find out more go to the Graduate website.
Youth Employment Scheme (YES) Trainee program
This program offers young Victorians aged 15 to 24 opportunities to undertake a traineeship in the Victorian Government. Through a mixture of structured training, provided by a group training organisation and on the job training, trainees will successfully complete certificate level qualifications.
To find out more go to the Jobs Victoria website.
DoT Vacation Student program
The department’s Vacation Student employment program is a fantastic opportunity for students studying at an Australian university to experience what is like to work in an organisation that delivers a wide range of projects and programs while gaining on-the-job learning and training opportunities.
Our Vacation program takes place during your summer university break and commencement dates can be modified to meet individual needs.
We try to give preference to students who are currently in their penultimate year of study, but welcome applications from second year onwards (depending on the length of the course).
We accept applications from university students currently completing a bachelor degree in the following disciplines:
- Civil engineering
- Electrical and electronic
- Environmental science
- Information management and technology
